The Job

  • Implement a high-performing strategic procurement and category management that delivers best value for the Club’s PRC property capital expenditure;
  • Develop packaging and procurement strategies and approach to managing the Consultancy, Construction, Fit Out, FF&E and Operating Equipment & Services categories as well as the Club’s direct procured materials;
  • Manage the tender process as necessary and work closely with the Property, CRC Site Management, Commercial & Contract Management ( CCM ), and CRC Procurement, Finance and other Business Users in evaluating supplier submissions and supporting their award of contracts;
  • Design supply chains and develop relationships with an optimum number of preferred category suppliers and consultants;
  • Build strong supplier relationships and develop market intelligence on existing and potential suppliers;
  • Ensure suppliers are able to meet performance specifications and introduce key performance measures for continuous improvement including but not limited to compliance, cost, delivery, quality, uptime / system availability, safety, maintainability and sustainability;
  • Implement supplier assessment processes and tools, and communicate results to suppliers in a way that aids their development;
  • Manage the category in a way that addresses Life Cycle Costs and total cost of ownership of the installed solution;
  • Ensure opportunities for innovation are fully evaluated and, where appropriate, introduced / implemented into the Club
  • About You

  • Degree holder with professional qualification in Engineering, Surveying, and / or Construction from recognized institute (e.
  • g. RICS, HKIS, HKIE or equivalent);
  • At least 12 years of related work experience with technical expertise in Property and / or Construction sectors and PRC project experience;
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement, commercial and contract management tools and techniques
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationship with stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, change management and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
  • Experience in : Working with PRC and overseas contractors, suppliers, and / or consultantsProcurement of construction materials and operating equipment & services Delivering benefits through strategic procurement and category managementManaging suppliers as partners and developing suppliers relationships
