What you will be doing
This position has a co-responsibility to help implement the Security Solutions strategy in the region and that means executing the business plan to a level that can be handed over to the regional Business Unit teams.
BDD of Security Solutions will need to ensure the Business Unit is internally prepared in the right way (ie setting up customers, systems, processes, training etc.
The mindset should be that he / she will incubate the business and make mainstream ready, handing over once delivered on criteria to a regional SecSol team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned :
Business Development Activities
Develop and Drive Security Solutions planning and strategy in APAC regions.
Business development in SMB, OEM, and adjacent markets, reporting business case requirements and executing on a go to market strategy.
Engage in Vertical market development for Security Solutions offering with the geographical business units, the strategic business development team, providing expert analysis, use case deliverables and sales education.
Explore and develop unified HID Security Solution, modelled for regional relevance, utilizing both existing capabilities and future innovation
Create Security Solutions engagement with relevant and targeted customers, developing relationships within SMB and System Integrators that can be sustained by local business unit organization.
Contribute to the development of an integrated sales and marketing strategy including, but not limited to benchmarking, market segmentation, customer relations, research and analysis, forecasting, communication strategies and execution
Work with Product Marketing to define partner solutions in accordance with market requirements.
Manage process and preparation of proposals for opportunities with new and existing clients
Assist in managing the relationship with high profile partners
Develop an understanding of consumer target segments and needs
Key Stakeholder in defining, developing, and driving plans for new product introductions, updates, and channel strategies
Develop business cases and interface with marketing groups, finance, R&D, sales, and management teams
Study the market trends and feedback to management on the market trend, plan for strategies to maximize our presence and ride on the trend to achieve successes
Identify government and financial market opportunities
What we are looking for :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education / experience required.
Understanding of Access Control industry and experience is essential
10+ years’ experience in Sales or Business Development in high tech industry or related field with solid experience in APAC markets
Must possess reasonable technical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin
Ability to apply analytical tools to market / business analysis
Strong abilities in the areas of analysis, budgeting, problem solving and decision making.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with business partners in a global environment
Excellent interpersonal and cultural skills to work with coworkers, partners, vendors, and customers domestically and internationally effectively and professionally
Marketing or Product Marketing experience is a plus
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
