The IT Services Senior Manager (IT manager) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the IT service desk to ensure staff and business teams receive the support they require.
The role is part management, part service operations and part strategic projects i.e. it is a role that wears a few hats.
The IT manager will work with a team of IT desk engineers to monitor operations of the company’s IT services as well as being the IT desk liaison to business initiatives.
Able to manage a team of ITSM engineers in supporting daily operations of various IT services and corporate systems
Drive general improvements across IT services to achieve operational excellence
Understand the end-to-end internal customer experience and help define enhancements to improve that experience
Maturity to respond to IT incidents methodically
Able to articulate new ideas, justify them and then execute
Work closely with the cybersecurity team to enforce policies and standards
Maintain an IT budget, inventory of equipment and vendors
Audit ready and understands SOC2 criteria and meet those criteria
Maintain good comms and relationships with management and general staff
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role using MAC operating systems
In depth understanding of IT desk services, corporate systems, technologies, operating systems
Familiarity or certification with Atlassian products such as Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk is a plus
Ability to work / manage independently and as a team
Ability to run IT projects
Strong communication (verbal / written) and influencing skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior levels of management
Experience and maturity to work in a multi-cultural environment and ability to communicate ideas, standards and policies with confidence
