Position Purpose

Originate, structure and implement Supply Chain Management transaction in APAC, with a specific focus on third-party platforms / industry consortiums / government-led digital initiatives

Primary Responsibilities

Origination, structuring and monitoring of Supply Chain deals across APAC :

  • Cross-selling of other TB products when possible
  • Endeavour to ensure the quality of the Bank's portfolio remains sound and healthy
  • Train and mentor Analysts and Associates within the SCM team, cultivate team spirit and lead by example
  • Preparing / reviewing of transaction memos, legal documentation, marketing material
  • Participating in credit committees
  • Oversee the implementation process of facilities
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
  • Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System
  • Ensure audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline
  • Focus on origination from third-party platforms and blockchain initiatives :

  • Work in close cooperation with Product and Sales team to identify relevant Fintechs / pursue relevant digital projects, discuss operating and support models for the 3rd Party Platforms
  • Define and deliver 3rd Party Platform measurements and KPI Market analysis to determine longer term platform and onboarding strategies affecting client buying behavior, competitors, and to anticipate shifts in the market
  • Lead digital dialog with supply chain clients and other parties in the supply chain ecosystem :

  • Maintain digital dialog around Supply Chain products, with BNPP clients and with third-party digital players, including government-led initiatives and platforms across APAC
  • Develop a comprehensive blockchain-based SCM offer in key markets (e.g China); coordinate on behalf of SCM APAC, together with Product, all global blockchain initiatives (e.g Marco Polo)
  • Develop and maintain good contact with the external market, e.g 3rd party platform organizations, industry associations, customers, competitors, regulators etc.
  • to ensure that our strategy remains relevant and effective

  • Train Transaction Banking Sales and Coverage on digital client dialog; Conduct detail workshops and training sessions on best practices and in the area of latest development in area of Supply Chain Management and regulation affecting the area of service
  • Monitor delivery of new initiatives and products across the various APAC countries :

  • Contribute to define functional and technical specifications, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders for a variety of initiatives (related to payables, receivables, inventory products;
  • platforms such as CSC, 3rd party electronic supply chain platforms and channels, blockchain or consortium SCM initiatives;
  • partnerships with other their-parties such as credit insurers, sustainability providers, etc)

  • Monitor project planning and delivery alongside relevant stakeholders, including Sales, TB Heads in country, Product, IT, etc
  • Track end-to-end processes and delivery of product and channel roadmaps by the relevant stakeholders; and provide full visibility to Head of SCM APAC
  • Actively participating in ITO Steering Committees, Product calls, E2E initiatives, BAU Steering Committees and represent SCM APAC where required
  • Contributing Responsibilities

    Contribute to reach theAPAC Supply Chain Management targets :

  • SCM APAC Budget targets
  • cross-fertilization ofopportunities (cross-selling of TBA products, referral / sourcing of SCMopportunities via other countries / regions)
  • launch of new productswhere required
  • Explorenew areas of digitization and automation for Supply Chain in APAC (e.g.reconciliation of payments, industrialization of front-to-back processes,suppliers’ onboarding, internal risks and business reporting tools)

  • Supportwhere required the various digital and channel initiatives by the bank,including transformation projects, where applicable.
  • Supportwhere required enhancement of risks and governance associated to SCM APACactivity.
  • Actas a core driver in implementing the initiatives promoted by the Head of SCMAPAC.

  • Ensureproper visibility of the work in progress, achievements and blocking points ofeach initiative conducted.
  • Generatethe necessary alerts to the Head of SCM APAC on deviations or blocking pointsof the initiatives conducted and coordinate to fix them.
  • Stayupdated on latest market trends, be able to identify product gaps againstcompetitors and analyze the voice / satisfaction of our customers related withproposed product suite of services and solutions to promote corrective actionsand develop new solutions.

  • Engage multiplestakeholders internally and externally (where required) for approvals,implementation of the products / deals, driving effective interaction acrossorganizational boundaries, including sales, client services, marketing,operations, IT, Legal, and Compliance to deliver optimized customerexperiences.
  • Environment scanning,tracking competition offerings and aligning our product suite (whereverrequired).

  • Strong technical inclination with focus on Supply Chain Financing solutions, platform integrations, connectivity channels like H2H etc
  • Strong knowledge of the supply chain ecosystem, in particular fintech and blockchain matters
  • Products / Domain Knowledge (including general banking laws, rules & regulations)

  • Qualification and Experience

  • has minimum experience of 6-10 years managing Trade Finance, Supply Chain Channels and digital solutions
  • Post graduate in computer applications / MCA
