Overview of business line / support function :
The Internal Control Team support the Chief Executive Office in ensuring the Asia business unit is compliant to the SG Group permanent controls framework and norms. Team function include :
Co-ordinate with first and second line of defence to implement an effective internal control framework and reporting in line with Group principles
Lead and manage the Permanent Control Transformation Program
Organise the Asia BU Internal Control Co-ordination Committee
Maintain and monitor the risk appetite statement and framework
Monitor and report risk management profiles
Monitor the budget dedicated to the permanent control framework
Implement trainings to reinforce the expertise, culture and awareness of the Internal Control framework and best practices
Main Responsibilities :
Lead and support the implementation of the permanent control transformation project across wholesale banking in Asia.
Provide cohesion across lines of defences to form an end to end view on risks and controls, identify and assess potential control gaps and / or emerging risks.
Ensure control issues are promptly escalated and addressed through appropriate goverance and that remedial actions are fully embedded.
Manage and enhance internal control reporting for senior management and building reports / dashboards for goverance meetings / committee's.
Provide input into maintaining Group risk appetite framework with consideration of Asia regulatory requirements.
Aggregate on-going monitoring of the risk profiles against risk appetite through performance against risk appetite thresholds and related KPIs.
Support the development and ongoing maintenance of permanent control referential / library for Asia.
Identify training needs, provide subject matter expertise to support internal control framework transformation program.
Contribute and participate on ad-hoc basis to projects related to internal control assignments including system related implementation.
A relevant degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in operational risk management, project management, enterprise risk management, audit or control related roles gained from international banking group.
Risk management experience gained from specialty risk advisory practices within professional accounting / consultancy firms would also be considered.
Strong project management skills in handling initiatives where multiple groups of stakeholders are involved.
Process sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness and good communication skills.
Result driven with passion for driving best practices and skilled at diplomatically breaking down complex matters into core issues and root causes that can be readily addressed.
Ability to work in a multinational and dynamic environment.
Fluent English is mandatory, and French is a plus.
