We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Actuarial Manager - HSBC LIfe.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide support to other teams within ACE as needed and work with Chief Actuary’s Office to provide key modelling and analytical services
  • Be responsible for daily actuarial work, mainly developing and maintaining actuarial models for IFRS reporting, Economic Capital, ALM and other actuarial analytic related issues
  • Provide support to local actuarial teams, including implementation of new modelling methodology and assumptions (such as IFRS-17, HKRBC etc) and conduct the model development and testing in accordance with applicable standards
  • Ensure the proper control in place as complied with the SOX and Group’s Model Risk Policy
  • Ensure that the modelling and financial reporting work is compliance regulatory, external and internal audit requirements
  • Requirements

  • Extensive experience in an actuarial role at an insurance firm
  • Nearly qualified or qualified Actuary
  • Corporate actuarial may be an advantage
  • Relevant Prophet Modelling related exposure
  • Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills
