The MSA team is charged with forging and maintaining strategic partnerships with merchants, payment enablers, and acquirers to drive sustainable revenue growth while delivering value.
The team negotiates and implements major commercial deals (1) to enable partners to utilise an array of Visa products and services and (2) to drive Visa’s and our Partners’ strategic objectives.
What a Senior Business Development Manager of MSA, does at Visa :
The Senior Business Development Manager is an integral part of the Hong Kong & Macau MSA team and will architect successful partnerships that will drive revenues and accelerate solution distributing deals.
Responsible for growing acquiring and merchant partnerships, identifying emerging payment partners and bringing together products to build holistic acquirer value proposition.
Manage relationship and expand partnership with acquirers, merchants and payment enablers to grow Visa services aimed at helping their needs
Support the design of the acquirers, merchants and payment enablers value proposition and create strategic, business and financial rationale and analytics in support of commercial deals
Actively contribute to Hong Kong & Macau business plan development including strategy, planning and implementation.
Lead roll out of small merchant strategy and market level plan that considers local market and stakeholders needs, and competitive landscape.
Identify, qualify, and quantify market specific opportunities in close cooperation with local management and understand factors critical to successful new acceptance roll out
Development of new initiatives / solutions, implementation of marketing / usage initiatives targeting traditional and new merchant segments, both in physical world and virtual world
Gain a strong understanding of Visa’s products and services, for example, Tap to Pay, Tap to Phone, Verifi, etc., to successfully cross sell to partners
Establish good working relationship with regional counterparts and in-country cross functional teams from

This role will be representing Visa in his / her interactions with the Client. Sharing Visa’s vision and communicating the implications of the changing payments landscape to our acquiring, payment enabler and merchant partners.
You will be providing strategic and critical support to the MSA team. You will work closely with other core functions in Visa such as Product, Business Solutions, Government Relations, Client Support, CyberSource, etc.
What you will need :
8 to 10 years of experience in payments or business development
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical and communication skills
An ability to juggle multiple priorities, providing high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment
A high level of comfort working in a complex and often ambiguous environment
A willingness to learn and the ability to partner, communicate and manage / navigate through multiple
disciplines and organisational groups
Above all, you will need to be a highly motivated self-starter, with a can-do attitude and ability to collaborate
Fluent spoken and written English and Cantonese. Mandarin is an advantage
