The role is to manage the execution of HKEX’s technology obsolescence & secondary data centre relocation project. Be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of related project management experience within a well-established financial organization.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering critical IT Infrastructure projects within a dynamic environment and a challenging timescale.
Proficient in project management methodology and system development life cycle, ability to develop and maintain strong relationship, proficiency in using MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint and good writing and communication skills are all essential requirements for this role.
Job Responsibilities :
Responsible for managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects from project kick-off to closure by following HKEX project management framework
Define, execute and control project schedule, budget, risks, changes and deliverables to ensure project is delivered on time, within budget and adhere to high quality standard
Conduct different levels meetings to provide regular reporting to sponsors, stakeholders and team members
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs to keep the project on healthy state
Identify project related problems / issues, reports to management and recommend solutions
Resolve conflicts when arise and prioritizes work to meet deadlines
Prepare reports / updates, presentation materials and communicate to stakeholders and senior management
Control budget and maintain a track record and report to senior management and Finance
Lead, build and maintain high team morale, positively cascading all organization communications for cross-functional team members and fostering a collaborative approach to delivery
Work with different technology teams and operation team across the whole project cycle, including testing and deployment in non-office hours
Job Requirements :
University Degree, preferably in IT, Information systems or relevant disciplines
At least 8 years hands-on project management skills, preferably having technology obsolescence and data centre migration project management experience within a well-established financial organization
Holistic understanding of IT infrastructure inclusive of server, storage, network, database, systems, DR / business recovery and continuity practices, etc.
Strong sense of compliance, control and risk awareness
Strong analytical and problem-solving, negotiation, influencing and mediation skills
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Great personality to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders across the organization
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Certifications in Project Management (e.g. PMP) highly desired
