Objectives of the Position
As part of the Regional Business Development, Downstream Convertors team, you will :
Drive new revenue growth for BASF Plastic additives business in Asia Pacific at downstream convertors
Lead and coordinate the business development activities focusing on Future Mobility and Electrical / Electronics within APAC markets
Main Job Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive marketing strategy including Multi Generation Application Plan & Roadmap for downstream markets in Asia Pacific with the aim to maximize growth, market share, profitability etc
Develop new contacts & build multi-level relationships in assigned industry segment to expand the BASF business network and identify the key decision makers and influencers along the value chain in downstream markets
Engage & develop business case with leading customers to address the innovation requirements for Future Mobility and Electrical / Electronics Markets
Drive & support new product launch & marketing activities for R&D product developments in Asia Pacific
Raise awareness in sustainability topics by equipping sales team with knowledge to promote sustainable product solutions in plastic additives
Analyse market intelligence including products, market trends, competitors, capacities, and market regulations
Proactively manage Market Opportunity & growth projects in CRM tools and regional topics
Support customer events & digital marketing. Development of new communication strategy for example the exhibition, conference, and roadshow.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Polymer Science / Chemistry / Business Administration / Management studies or relevant disciplines
Minimum 7 years sales and marketing experience in Chemicals preferably plastics or plastic additives
Excellent command of written and spoken English, Mandarin is a plus
Able to work in diverse levels of international and local collaboration, flexible in agile environments and multi-disciplinary teams
