As a Head of Business Transformation, y our main responsibilities will involve :
Provide leadership or oversight to APAC's transaction planning and execution activities (including M&A, divestiture, partnership, startup, etc.
from pre-deal through to completion and integration / separation
Develop the programme of work, and establish the necessary governance framework to achieve the integration objectives
Develop and coach in country capabilities to support execution
Support the business unit on regulatory filings and engagements
Serve as the regional lead to drive the planning and coordination of cross business unit transformation programme of work involving process, compliance or IT led change, or complex / large scale strategic initiatives to translate strategic vision to realizable and defined business results
Provide advice and hands-on support to the APAC Exco and business units to drive major programme delivery
Develop and agree shareable operating models and solutions across countries, where appropriate
Liaise with Group Business Transformation colleagues to promote the sharing of lessons learnt and best practices
Collaborate with operational excellence, solution and infrastructure design SMEs to analyse and assess business problems and needs, and propose options / solutions to addressing the requirement
Support the business units in the design and development of the target operating model and enterprise architecture landscape to facilitate product, process, organisation, system and infrastructure changes
Provide oversight to the APAC business unit's project portfolio from inception through to implementation and closure
Facilitate the coordination of project approvals by the relevant authorities
Safeguard the quality of the project delivery, governance and reporting to ensure compliance to Group's planning and control requirement
Promote and champion the adoption of Zurich's project management discipline and framework, and development of practitioners within the business units
Your Skills and Experience
As a Head of Business Transformation, your skills and qualifications will ideally include :
Educated to degree level, preferably in the areas of business administration, economics, engineering or finance with minimum 10 years of experience in a senior management role with project, change and people management accountability
Project management (PMP / Prince2) certified
Good verbal and written English communication and presentation skills to all levels, knowledge of additional language in Asia preferred but not mandatory
Enterprise architecture design qualification added advantage
Demonstrated experience, and credentials to leading large scale, complex, cross country programme of work, preferably in the insurance business, consulting or financial services sector
Transaction (M&A, divestiture, partnership, startup) execution experience
Good knowledge and understanding of the insurance business flows, preferably both life and general
Experience in building and leading teams with counterparties within APAC countries
Experience in working in Asia, preferably across both developed and developing countries, and mindful to APAC's diversified operating culture
Ability to explain complex ideas and processes to non-technical teams / staff
