Job Description

In this position you will....

  • report to the Group Head of Internal audit and lead the audit coverage for the digital insurance entity in Hong Kong as a key person and support audit activities in the device protection and insurance exchange businesses to ensure that bolttech business and entities meet its financial, operational and compliance objectives.
  • The Group Internal Audit at bolttech reports functionally to the Group Audit and Risk Committee to provide an independent and objective assurance over the entities’ risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.

    With your innovative mindset and disciplined approach towards risk management and assurance, you will challenge current processes and identify opportunities for improvements, identify control deficiencies to Management and make recommendations to mitigate risk and add value.

    You will be responsible for

  • As a Key Person in Internal Audit, accountable to and have direct reporting line to the FWD GI Audit Committee to establish and implement an audit plan for FWD GI Hong Kong to examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls to manage the entity’s key risks.
  • Maintaining an effective channel of communication between external auditor, the Board and the Audit Committee.
  • Representing Internal Audit in the FWD GI Hong Kong Audit Committee and producing relevant presentation materials.
  • Supporting the Group Head of Audit to lead and execute internal audit activities across bolttech Group which include risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting, workpaper documentation, follow up and verification of audit issues closure.
  • Monitoring periodic key risk indicators to identify patterns and trends that have risk and control implications.
  • Establishing data analytic as a key capability to increase assurance in the audit processes and gain insights into control improvement opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships with Management to help them achieve their strategic objectives and build a strong compliance culture.
  • Working closely with the second line functions to identify emerging and potential business issues and risks.
  • Staying up to date with evolving regulatory, industry and market events impacting the group’s risk profile and accordingly adjusting the audit plan.
  • Liaising with auditors across the bolttech Group to share better practices, learnings to improve overall audit methodologies and techniques.

  • You will require the following qualifications and skills

  • Minimum five years of audit experience in an insurance company, insurance broker company or an insurtech platform. Alternatively, five to six years in a Big 4 firm, someone who is focused on auditing clients in insurance products, broker / agent companies and / or technology supporting digital product offering
  • Proficiency (speak, read and write) in English is a must
  • Minimum university degree in Accounting and / or Information Systems
  • CPA, CA, CISA, CIA or other related professional certificate is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
