Principal responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert and key contact for Digital Cross Functional Teams and local system teams, a focal contact point in end to end Digital customer journeys, mainly for Hong Kong Originations but should also be able to support Asia Pacific countries when required.
  • Drive engineering capability uplift in regional Digital.
  • Adopt and share best practices of the Originations Cross Functional Team and local system teams.
  • Manage partnership and innovation commercialisation.
  • Work closely with business leaders to represent IT and ensure close collaboration for successful digital deliveries.
  • Ensuring adherence to governance procedures and significant contribution to process improvement.
  • Engaging and working collaboratively with wider business, IT and other teams to ensure the success of digital transformation and working towards the HSBC IT Strategy.
  • Leveraging digital knowledge and expertise to drive business decisions and business improvements.
  • Maintain good exposure and develop knowledge in new techniques, products, services, technologies and standards.
  • Requirements

  • Solid knowledge and working experience on the local systems which supporting internet banking.
  • Knowledgeable in the local banking products of Cards, or Loans, or Deposit Accounts including Integrated Accounts.
  • Experience in API enabled Digital customer journeys.
  • Basic understanding on the business processes, operating models in the above banking products.
  • DevOps processes and experience.
  • Understanding of LEAN and Agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices.
