HOST combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Data Programme Manager .
Data is a key focus of HSBC. Data has been identified as a High Priority Programme with reporting accountability to a number of very senior HSBC governance process which are Risk Committee, Audit Committee, and Change Committee, and the external regulators such as PRA and HKMA.
Data has also been identified requiring significant improvement across the firm for both required improvements in mandatory reporting, for example Risk Reporting, BCBS 239 regulations, regulatory reporting, FCC management including Monitor reviews and business reporting.
The businesses have also identified significant business value potential via improved data capability for example better customer advice with better data or analytics about customer actions.
In order to support this significant effort, a Data organization and governance process was defined. We have established the Chief Data Officer role within each of the major Global Businesses and Functions, Group Chief Data Officer and Regional Chief Data Officer to drive data improvement across the firm.
Under the Asia Pacific Chief Data Officer, one of the key roles is the Head of Data Programme, Asia Pacific, who is responsible to oversee the overall data programme portfolio management, which will drive the data improvement and growth across the firm in Asia Pacific.
This role, Senior Data Programme Manager will assist Head of Data Programme to achieve the goals of the Data Programme team.
This role will work across all Global Business and Functions and Locations across Asia Pacific to ensure governance, alignment and the engagement to rollout of the data programme.
Extensive experience managing interfunctional or regulatory projects and programmes in global financial institution
Deep domain expertise and knowledge of the BCBS Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting principles, and data management best practice
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organisational planning, resource mobilisation and problem solving.
Experienced in dealing with senior and executive sponsors and rationalising cross line of business and function priorities.
Experienced in delivering large data focused programmes in a global financial institution
Strong track record of business change programme delivery in a global, regional and local structure
Experienced with operating in a global regulatory environment
Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal or external stakeholders.
Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly defined problems
Experienced in delivering workshops including face to face or remote, and facilitating steering committee meetings with international participants
Typical qualifications would include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MBA is an advantage.
Proven capability as a programme management office leader in delivering large complex programmes
Excellent track record in programme delivery, typically in both execution and coordination roles
Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global or Asia Pacific environment is desirable.
