Finance Manager (US MNC)

Our client is a US consumer products distributor with international presence. We are now seeking a talented individual to join them as a Finance Manager to work closely with growing team.

Position Summary

  • The Finance Manager, is responsible for all strategic, operational, capital and financial planning and analysis activities within the region, and will serve as a business partner to Hong Kong.
  • These activities include (1) strategic, operations, capital, and financial planning, (2) business analysis and management reporting, (3) working capital management, and (4) customer / contract analysis, pricing, and negotiation.
  • This position is part of the regional leadership team and will be responsible for helping to realize the profitable growth of the business in Hong Kong.
  • Position Responsibilities

  • Report to the General Manager in Hong Kong
  • Lead a team of 3 subordinates for daily accounting operation
  • Handle operational, Financial Budgeting, Forecasting and Capital Planning
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and tactics
  • Prepare short-range action plans
  • Run bottom-up driver models and develop business unit budgets / plans
  • Identify and recommend priority capital projects
  • Review plans with local / business unit management
  • Provide / validate business unit-specific operational data used in forecasts
  • Develop Business unit-specific forecasts and review forecasts with local / business unit management
  • Business Analysis and Decision Support
  • Lead product and service cost analysis
  • Conduct customer evaluation and proposal generation and analysis
  • Support customer contract negotiation
  • Participate in new deal structuring / pricing / terms
  • Manage balance sheet / working capital
  • Represent the business unit finance at Monthly Business Reviews
  • Business Unit Compliance / Controls / Other Support (working with Controller organization)
  • Conduct physical verification / safeguarding / counting of local inventory / assets
  • Support external / government contract audits as needed
  • Support / document local compliance with ISO, SOx, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc.
  • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 8+ years of financial and business operations management experience
  • 5+ years in a Finance leadership role in a manufacturing or consumer-oriented business
  • Experience working in large multi-national organizations
  • Strong financial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong executive presence and poise when interfacing with executives, customers, vendors and commercial partners
  • History of successfully leading process, technology, or other business transformation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to challenge others, while build and maintain positive working relationships across organizational levels and functional boundaries
  • Ability to delegate, yet willingness to roll up sleeves and get into the details
  • Fluency in Chinese and English
