Reporting to the Head of Finance (Asia) and the Regional Financial Controller (Asia), the Regional Accountant will be working in the Regional Finance Team in Hong Kong to support management needs.
The nature of the role will ensure coverage of a broad range of the financial aspects of running a law firm, from budgeting and reforecasting through to monitoring and control of operations over the course of the financial year.
This job description is not exhaustive and the job holder will be required to undertake additional duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare monthly reports for support directors to facilitate the cost control against budget
Co-ordinate annual budget and reforecast processes, prepare reports and analysis for management review
Prepare partners financial performance statistics on regular basis or on requests
Co-ordinate with the bank to fulfill the requirement of the banking facilities
Prepare consolidated cashflow forecast position and report to the Central Finance Team
Review monthly reports on controls and compliance submitted by the local finance managers, identify irregularities
Maintain the tax reserve position in the partners current accounts
Support any controls and compliances tasks as required.
Handle ad-hoc queries from the local finance managers, support them to fulfill the Group’s financial requirements
Handle ad-hoc requests from partners, support directors and the Central Finance Team when arise
At least 4 years auditing and accounting experience, with experience acquired in sizable audit firm and professional services preferred
Self-initiative individual with a strong sense of commitment to work both independently and as part of a team
Independent and able to work under pressure are essential
Good communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is required
Good Excel skill is preferred
