We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Programme Management Office, Global Trustee and Fiduciary Services, Hong Kong.

Principal Responsibilities

To programme manage mandatory regulatory change initiatives which impact the trustee business in HK. The trustee business is highly regulated and the industry is undergoing several changes driven by the regulator.

Penalties and strictures for non-compliance with these changes are severe. The role holder plays a key role in ensuring that all projects and sub-projects which contribute to the overall delivery of such programmes are co-ordinated, and smoothly executed, in accordance with the Group’s Change Framework and the regulatory expectations.

  • The role holder interacts with senior stakeholders such as the trustee entity’s Board of Directors to provide regular updates;
  • and numerous other risk and governance forums across HSBC.

    Principal Accountabilities :

    Key activities and decision making areas

    Programme Management

  • Develop, manage and control project schedules by updating and making mitigation decisions and escalating as appropriate to relevant senior stakeholders
  • Quality Assurance

  • Provide programme quality reviews on a periodic basis across all work streams and projects
  • Typical KPIs and Targets :

  • Programme Support including, but not limited to administration, organization of project meetings and minutes
  • Work plan execution, management and control using standard project management tools
  • Support the definition and implementation of all project control and administration activities; including overall program governance requirements
  • Maintain centralised RAID log for programme ensuring due items are reviewed and updated by Project Owners / Work stream Leads
  • Maintain programme artefacts repository current, ensuring version control
  • Track completion and approval of programme artefacts
  • Requirements

  • A minimum 8-10 years of Project Management and / or Project Coordinator experience; experience in managing Programmes will be useful
  • Prior experience with pensions in Hong Kong from a trustee perspective will be preferable
  • Very strong organization skills, time management, and high attention to detail
  • Very strong ability to manage multiple parallel streams of work
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Very strong Microsoft experience (MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite)
  • Solid experience with HSBC Change Framework and Clarity PPM preferred
  • Strong ability to be responsive in a timely fashion and complete deliverables in the face of multiple priorities and challenging timelines;
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting; a self-motivator
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced projects with a significant amount of change; and
  • The ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and changing priorities
  • Ideally will possess or designated for project management credentials (i.e. CAPM, PMP, PRINCEII)
