The role
As a Sales Engineer based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical support related to all Thales DIS CPL authentication products within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Assist sales team to identify, qualify and quantify all opportunities within the assigned territory and leads sales effort
Provide field support on critical post-sales support issues to achieve unsurpassed customer satisfaction
Work with the sales team to develop and enhance customer and partner relationships
Create and deliver accurate and technically correct sales presentations and RFI / RFP’s both directly to end users and partners
Involved in communication with customer and partners on product changes, upgrades and innovations
Provides feedback and marketing intelligence to sales team and the product marketing team to ensure company products remain competitive in the market
Participates and represents Thales at appropriate user conferences and trade shows
Requirements
Bachelor degree in MIS, Computing or similar subjects
Knowledge in information security principles and practices (cryptography, network security, etc.) and apply those for the purpose of data protection
Knowledge of solution integration and application development, although programming will not necessary be part of the duty
Knowledge of Databases (Structured Data Oracle preferred, MS SQL, DB2 or other databases beneficial), Cloud technology as well as Virtualization
You must be fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
5+ years technical experience in the IT industry and with at least 3 years experience in a customer facing role
Desirable
Database Transparent Encryption (TDE & HSM) and Tokenization
Storage & Virtualization (NetApp, Hitachi, AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, VMWare)
Cryptographic APIs
Knowledge in solution integration experience; experience in deploying web servers, java application servers and database servers;
experience in Windows / Linux system administrations
Knowledge with any programing or scripting language is preferred
CISSP, CISA or related cybersecurity certification is a plus
