Provides direction and is responsible for the delivery of Print commercial targets for LP HK and SG, and supports broader commercial growth in MENA, SSA, and Asia.
Responsibility for New Product Development outcomes for all Print activity for LP HK and SG as well as supporting delivery of LP AEM’s (non-ANZ) online content development roadmap.
Propositions supported : Books (Domestic Academic, Domestic Practitioner), Print Subscriptions (excl. Journals), ProView and Westlaw.
Reporting : Direct report to the Director, NPD and Print LP AEM, and indirect report to Director, Proposition Core Law LP AEM.
Territories included : Primary HK, SG; Secondary : MENA, SSA, Asia.
Location : Hong Kong or Singapore.
Key Responsibilities :
Achieve annual gross sales, retention, net sales / book of business and revenue targets for print in HK and SG ( USD6M).
Prepare, present, and execute on NPD Business Cases plans to meet product, revenue, and EBITDA goals.
Contribute to strategy and implement plans to optimise AEM Print performance and support Online growth through media-agnostic content development.
Responsible for HK and SG Print Frontlist development ( 46 titles per annum) and effective engagement with Editorial and Production departments for timely publishing and optimised revenue recognition.
Implement operating plans as directed to deliver agreed margin improvement.
Meets with key clients, channel partners and industry groups to develop deep knowledge of the market and customer needs.
Develop industry partnerships to build a new contract publishing revenue stream in HK and SG.
Responsible for Go-To-Market planning and engagement with Marketing and Sales departments for optimised commercial outcomes on relevant portfolios and products.
Responsible for implementing and managing the Hub NPD strategy to deliver content and revenue growth outside of ANZ, HK and SG.
Responsible for implementing HK and SG employee engagement strategies to best meet the current and future needs of the business.
Build and nurture a diverse, collaborative, high performing and engaged author pool across multiple geographies and cultures.
Drive an innovation, simplification, agile, digital and non-bureaucratic mindset across the region.
Build and maintain highly collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with colleagues in HK and SG (in the LP, Print, Corporates and Tax Professionals segments in the region) and broader Print AEM geographies, i.e. ANZ
Key deliverables :
Delivery of target financial and strategic objectives.
Continuous, measurable improvement in end-to-end distinctive customer experience and service across channels (e.g. customer satisfaction / NPS).
Contribute to the development and execution of a comprehensive business plan to optimise ongoing portfolio development, revenue and margin outcomes across Print HK and SG and the broader AEM region.
Timely and accurate publishing of content in all relevant media to meet evolving customers needs and meet and exceed revenue targets.
Timely and accurate reporting on Print AEM financial performance for HK, SG and additional NPD under the Hub strategy.
Annual improvements in organizational effectiveness (client-centricity, customer approach, and rapid decision making).
Skills and Experience :
Proven track-record in New Product Development ideally within the Legal industry.
Skilled at commercial brand management and delivery to high growth revenue targets.
Highly entrepreneurial with excellent problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.
An outside-in focus : Outstanding end-customer relationship skills.
Over 5 years experience in managing a range of teams with publishing, editorial, content and operational expertise.
Strong collaboration teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions
