The Retail Allocator is responsible for : + Completing analytics and other tasks to help Planning by : + Supporting the development of the allocation plan + Monitoring store stock levels and sales trends through reporting and analytics + Completing analytics to support balancing stock within stores and across channels as needed + Reviewing production order status to understand inventory status issues (overstocks, late deliveries, short shipments) and potential impacts and raise concerns + Reviewing inventory to ensure support of seasonal marketing initiatives + Managing the allocation of stocks to stores, balancing stock within stores and across channels as needed + Setting and maintaining data in SAP, BI and POS systems and databases + Generating reports from SAP, BI and the POS system + Creating ad-hoc SAP and BI reports based on detailed knowledge of data fields and definitions + Creating ad-hoc Excel files and pivot tables to support analytics + Completing analytics and identifying opportunities and actions based on the results + Ensure effective two-ways communications with marketing and retail ops teams on inventory issues or needs + Generating and reviewing in-season and post-season analytics that could help hind-sighting and improve the business + Review Out-of-Stock Report and generate action plan to improve stock availability.
Participate in store visits (internal) and competitor market visits (external) to understand retail trends and consumer needs + Attending meetings as appropriate to learn new skills and increase business knowledge Principal Accountabilities : Under close supervision : * Support item placement and replenishment* Assist with managing store inventory and making decisions to ensure inventory levels are sufficient to support financial objectives* Maximize basic merchandising category profitability by optimizing inventory supply to meet customer demand and financial objectives that result in minimizing out of stocks Knowledge & Skill Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a related field *Equivalent years of experience in a substantially similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree to be determined by the nature of the specific job and the hiring manager's criteria* One year of related experience preferred* Strong written and oral communication skills* Proficient PC skills Knowledge & Application :
Good knowledge of single specialist area achieved through prior study or previous experience* Applies knowledge of the principles and practices in a recognized professional field requiring extensive academic preparation
