The Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor ranks.

The Department is interested in outstanding candidates and will prioritize novelty, significance, and promise of the candidate’s research over any specific area of specialization.
Applicants should have a PhD with demonstrated strength in research and commitment to teaching. Successful candidates are expected to lead active research programs and teach both graduate and undergraduate courses.
An interdisciplinary knowledge and application of different disciplines will be an advantage.

It provides an excellent environment for multidisciplinary research, with close links to other departments within the School of Engineering and to other schools through joint appointments and active involvement in cross-cutting institutes and centers in the area of Quantum Technology, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Energy.

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include medical / dental benefits and annual leave.
Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. For appointment at Assistant Professor level, initial appointment will normally be on a three-year contract.
