What you can expect
Reporting directly to the Service Reliability Enablement Executive within the Service Reliability Executive Organization, a part of the Core Technology Infrastructure Organization.
The candidate will be responsible for building and managing the Testing (Validation and Forensics) plans for Never Down Standards across TIS, GIS, and CIO organizations and enable strategic alignment towards Never Down objectives.
The aim of the candidate in this role is to build the framework and assurance capability where Never Down Design principles and standard solutions are implemented in each technology area, but also to contribute to the strategic plans for each area with priorities from Never Down Analysis, Service Performance Analysis, Exposure Analytics and Forensics.
The goal for a person in this role is to ensure that the Never Down objectives and Strategic programs are enabled through the implementation of a certification and remediation program.
To work within the enablement team to build a strategy, oversee gaps and execution and represent Never Down across the wider enterprise, drive integration across current certification and assurance programs.
In addition to maintain a strategic view, escalate for review and decision by the ND SLT.
The candidate must also be able to feedback any insights into the ND standards team, the ND assessment teams and the service performance analysis and exposure analytics team to aid prioritization.
The ideal candidate will have broad technical knowhow, demonstrate executive presence and soft skills to be able to build rapport with key senior technical executives and business leaders to gain access to their strategic plans and be at the table to communicate ND strategic vision to enable shared business outcomes. .
What you will do
Recommend and establish easily adoptable tool chains, to enable a common continuous deployment pipeline for application development teams.
Ensure Governance structure is aligned with and influences downstream Engineering and Operations Governance, and conducive to effective services development and operations federation.
Developing and owning the approach, strategy, alignment, standards and execution.
This will require, among other things, leveraging and influencing the priority and features within SDM, Tooling and automation teams, Enterprise Architecture blueprints, and engineering design and development / operations (DevOps) methodologies.
It will also involve driving the development of standards, guidelines and controls to drive improvements in the architectural blueprints design and implementation of resilient services.
Automation of application provisioning and management of the underlying infrastructure as a service (all layers, from compute to storage, including network) will be a key component of the strategy.
Understanding of various Process Management activities, controls, and practices will be required such as capacity planning, change management, event management, problem management, incident management, release management.
Familiarity of horizontal and enterprise wide Operational Excellence initiatives for continuous performance improvement, and automation / tool development will be a plus.
The role requires that the lead be able to operate leveraging the Bank’s risk framework, Program and Portfolio Management, Process Management and Operational Excellence work streams.
