To provide specialist advice and lead the team on quality assurance and testing, across multiple projects / systems and to deliver to business needs including :

  • Understand the testing effort by analysing the requirements of projects.
  • Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
  • Own the technical testing ( performance test, test automation) capability for defining & building & implementing appropriate model & framework to maximize the reuse and support DevOps
  • Define and maintain all assets of technical testing ( performance test, test automation) through structured repository
  • Develop and maintain knowledgebase for technical testing ( performance test, test automation) for cross team reference and training purpose
  • Maintain test automation KPI as part of departmental goals
  • Establish technical testing status dashboard for real-time or regular update purpose
  • Organize the testing kick-off meeting
  • Define and support the technical testing strategy
  • Arrange test resources with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation
  • Identify Training requirements and forward it to the Senior IT QA & Testing Services Manager, COIO - IT Quality Assurance & Testing Services (Technical and Soft skills).
  • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
  • Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup.
  • Assign task to all engaged testing resources and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
  • Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artefacts is documented and maintained.
  • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for quality assurance and testing as per standards defined by the organization.
  • Check / Review the Quality Control and Test Cases documents.
  • Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
  • Escalate the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to Project Manager
  • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the Client
  • Attend the regular client call and discuss the weekly status with the client.
  • Act as the single point of contact between Development and Testers.
  • Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
  • Hold meeting with client and development team to present the performance test result and align on the follow-up / acceptance.
  • Review various reports prepared by Test engineers.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
  • Prepares / updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.

  • Typically requires a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field

  • At least 5 years experience in technical testing, such as performance test, test automation, API testing, etc
  • Strong analytical capability and skills ( - database architecture design, business intelligence application configuration, MIS report development, etc.)
  • Ability to make insightful, successful decisions
  • Competent delivering results through ownership & drive
  • The ability to think creatively and ensure services meets stakeholder needs and are fit for purpose.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines
  • Strong technical testing experience, such as performance test, API testing, UI automation, mobile automation, end-to-end scenario automation
  • Knowledge and experience on test automation framework and DevOps model
  • Experience on test data management and test environment management
  • Testing experience with AS400 backend system and insurance frontend applications on both operation and customer facing
  • Testing experience with data transformation platform with Cloud technology is a plus
