Your field of responsibility
The role is aimed at mid junior level candidates and will assist and support the ABC Advisory team, as part of a wider APAC Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Client Advisory function, in providing specialist advice and analysis in all matters relating to anti-bribery and corruption (ABC).
Coordinating closely with partners, as well as the Global ABC team and Country Compliance, to ensure that consistent advice and analysis of complex ABC issues are appropriately controlled, and that the APAC region is in compliance with global compliance standards, including :
Assist with ABC related advisory and reporting, and provide subject matter expertise (SME) on core risk areas to all relevant business partners across all Lines of Business.
Assist with significant or complex ABC issues, requiring analysis and / or external legal advice / interaction with regulators etc.
Participate in regional and global projects and working groups; assist with internal audits, compliance monitoring & testing reviews.
Assist with targeted ABC training to ensure employees in their areas of coverage receive training commensurate with the level of risk associated with their job responsibilities.
Assist with the maintenance of all relevant management information, including regular and accurate reporting to Management.
Seek to ensure critical issues are properly recorded in relevant field’s trackers and other document retention tools.
Support with the continued effective implementation and refinement of a robust ABC risk and controls framework, in consultation with the Global ABC team.
Involvement with business partners and first line of defense, in particular in relation to expansion / new business plans, and operationalization of ABC policies and procedures within the first line.
Support Heads / Leads of FCC & ABC Client Advisory as necessary.

Your skills and experience
You are expected to possess the below :
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the financial services industry and in Compliance. Experience working in ABC at financial institution highly desired.
Educated to degree level or equivalent (Bachelor or higher). A law degree would be beneficial.
Outstanding organizational skills, and proficiency to assess ABC Compliance risk.
Detailed understanding of ABC risk areas and red flags.
Proficient in ABC laws and regulations (including but not limited to UKBA, FCPA), and best-practices.
Outstanding partner management and communication skills are essential. Ability to coordinate with senior partners in the business divisions.
Ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment, and be able to build positive relationships all levels.
Results-oriented, hardworking individual with outstanding problem solving, interpersonal ability. Possess excellent attention to detail.
Exemplary ethics, integrity, and conduct.
Proficiency in Mandarin / Cantonese highly beneficial as you will work closely with the China business as it is a PB funded China onshore role.
