GLG is looking for an experienced professional for the role of Manager in our Seoul / Japan / Singapore / Hong Kong office.
The individual will be part of GLGs 70+-person global compliance department and would be required to provide timely and thoughtful support for global client service professionals.
A successful candidate will be a problem solver, strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, efficient, proactive, and demonstrate very strong attention to detail.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
Provide compliance analysis and advice to members of GLG's business units and APAC stakeholders
Engage with and coach client facing professionals on GLG’s compliance framework and communication with clients
Review and analyse projects and apply GLG's compliance framework
Interact with GLG clients, including in-house counsel and compliance officers
Conduct compliance training, including content development
An ideal candidate will have the following :
Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal or compliance role.
Strong analytical and writing skills
Fluency (verbal and written) in Japanese and / or Korean (Not Must)
Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
Experience interacting with high-level professionals
Eagerness to learn about different industries and nuanced topics
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment displaying composure and emotional-intelligence, as well as independently
Capacity to monitor, manage, and distribute workload, ensuring completion of daily defined (queue) tasks and project work on a range of deadlines
Ability and desire to train, teach, and mentor junior professionals
