Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management.
The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Third Party Risk (TPR) Oversight ASP .
Providing specialist regional alignment, direction & leadership and championing TPR issues across Asia Pacific.
Oversees an effective TPRF which adds value to stakeholders by enabling them to identify, manage and mitigate / remediate third party risk.
Providing advice, guidance and challenge to senior Business, Functions and entity management in Asia Pacific on the Use and Adoption of the TPRF.
Coordinating with Group TPR management, equivalent counterparts across the Group and Asia Pacific Operational Risk oversight teams to ensure a consistent, best practice and '
joined-up' approach to governance and oversight.
Promoting and supporting the development and operation of the TPRF.
Engaging with risk owners, control owners and risk stewards to ensure that third party risks are managed in accordance with the Group Third Party Risk Policy.
Responsible for continually reassessing the risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
Leads and develops the regional TPR team including succession planning, talent management, performance management and improving employee engagement.
Experienced subject matter expert in the application of the Three Lines of Defence model and third party risk management and / or operational risk management frameworks in a large-
scale multi-national organisation.
Strong understanding of the issues facing banking and financial services with the ability to understand HSBC direction and change plans in this context.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the financial services or similarly heavily regulated sector.
Excellent inter-personal, communication and influencing skills, and ability to work closely with senior management.
Ability to identify and successfully manage diverse key stakeholder needs and to work effectively at all levels in an organization to drive change
Team leader and player able to work collaboratively with and through others in a complex multi national, virtual team working environment.
People / team management experience.
Flexible, adaptable and confident; able to work in ambiguous situations.
Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
