You have to develop and enhance General / Life insurance application system per SDLC with focus on user requirement study and analysis, solution design and overall project deliverables.

Your role

  • Conduct accurate requirement study on both business and application systems, e.g. Workflow applications, Web applications, Robotic, etc.
  • Formulate feasible and optimal solution based on business requirements, produce quality analysis and design on assigned tasks, provide guidance to programmers throughout the project lifecycle and conduct hands-
  • on application development work whenever needed

  • Ensure the implementation of software and IT solutions are accurate with high quality and prepare the documentation to meet SDLC requirements
  • Ensure the IT solution is compliance with Group IT standard, security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the external partners on delivering various business solutions within agreed timeline and budget
  • Assist in building up the team's capabilities on various technical and business areas
  • Your Skills and Experience

  • Degree holder with major in Computer Science or IT related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT application development; candidate with less experience may be considered as System Analyst
  • Solid and hands-on experience in system analysis and design; able to produce generic and sustainable system design
  • Solid experience in Java with different framework and web services
  • Sound knowledge of multiple database management, like MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.
  • Experience in RPA, IBM Case Manager, FileNet, RAD, .Net, SQL Server will be a definite advantage
  • Good understanding in IT documentation, e.g. functional spec, technical spec, testing plan, etc.
  • Familiar with business analysis and operations in General Insurance / Life Insurance is preferable
