The primary objective of the Training Specialist is to provide online and digital product training for customers and / or employees to support new sales, increase customer usage, drive growth, develop new business and contribute to retention.
In addition, the position performs the role of champion across the range of Thomson Reuters’ online products and services, promoting usage and ensuring customer participation at all points along the development cycle.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify at risk accounts and develop customised training that delivers increased usage and retention numbers across the online products.
Identify at risk customers and report these findings to the account manager
Arrange, create and deliver training to all new customers assigned by Account Manager
Partnership with Account Managers to create structured presentations and conduct demonstrations to help support pre-sales.
Accurately record all activities (client contact, training events, pre-pipeline opportunities) to provide transparency to the business.
Actively promote up-sell or cross sell sales opportunities.
Proactively contact customers in my territory to promote new enhancements and features in accordance with business objectives.
Provide second level research support to customers and customer case teams.
Deliver training to internal customers as required or requested by Manager ie sales, customer care.
Proactively maintain up to date knowledge of Thomson Reuters legal products and services.
Maintain up to date knowledge of competitor products and services.
Contribute to project based assignments relating to NPD New Product Releases.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Tertiary Training Qualification and / orLegal studies or Law Degree
2+ years of previous legal or formal training experience.
Worked in a professional library environment e.g. legal, academic.
Assisted in the design and delivery of training programs.
Experience with preparation of support learning materials such as User Guides, and Training Videos.
Commercial experience and / or knowledge of working with online information products and services.
English, Cantonese & Mandarin fluency
Strong communication & highly developed presentation skills, with an ability to think on one’s feet and communicate complex concepts to demanding groups of professionals
Ability to field questions and control training sessions.
Ability to create support documentation and videos
An energetic can do’ attitude, with high levels of initiative
Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with clients and peers
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high performing team
Ability to learn new concepts quickly and to think outside the square’
