Oversight of the Securities Lending Trading team in APAC which currently comprises two traders.
Generating revenue through the lending of both fixed income and equity assets and the investment of cash collateral according to client specified reinvestment guidelines.
Ensures risks are properly managed and monitored or / and escalated where required.
Ensure adherence with all policy, guidelines, procedures and protocols and set an example to demonstrate the required level of conduct at all times within the team
Be an active participant in the APAC securities lending industry, participating in industry groups and representing the AGL business at external events and conferences.
Relationship Management (for existing borrowers and lenders)
Responsible for the management of Borrower relationships across the region.
Support Client Management / Development through identification, and execution of opportunities. Assisting the sales effort globally through regional representation and deal preparation.
Develop understanding of clients’ business, objectives, goals and market challenges, and liaises with the group’s relationship management teams to ensure consistency with the overall client development plan
Contributes to training and marketing of the product both internally and externally in order to obtain new clients for Agency Securities Lending
Provides input, expertise, constructive opinion on implementing product enhancements
Follows relevant APAC regulations and determine the implications to the product and the Bank, and makes appropriate recommendations for product developments
Advocate for APAC topics in global discussions
Numeric skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to analyse data and processes and identify efficiency improvements, product or business development opportunities
Support projects and IT or change management initiatives
Computer literacy including Excel, Bloomberg. Coding languages a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels and cultures both in regards to dealing and general communication with clients, peers, other BNP Paribas offices / entities and external clients
A decisive nature and ability to work under pressure in a team based but target driven environment
Good experience in securities lending.
