Arup Programme and Project Management is expanding the programme and planning team for the increasing market coverage. Due to increasing workload on major building works, Arup is looking for a senior-level Project Manager to oversee a site project team of Consultants and Resident Site Staffs.
The candidate will be working on high profile and large scale projects in the regions.
Report to Project Leader and manage site-work with support from a team of project managers
Responsible for planning, scheduling and programme development of project activities, including design, statutory submissions and approvals, procurement process, construction, inspection, close-out and handover
Liaise with clients, government authorities, project stakeholders and end-users, manage design consultants and contractors for project success.
Review, monitor and report actual progress against project programme
Identify risks and opportunities with mitigation strategies to maintain key project milestones and completion date
Act as Client’s Representative as necessary. Monitor and report the performance of the Consultants, Project Quantity Surveyor and RSS in relation to the Works Contracts
Monitor contractors to ensure timely completion of the Works Contracts with the assistance of the AP, RSE and RGE, including completion of all outstanding and defective works within the maintenance period
Ensure the Project Consultants can provide appropriate and timely feedback to the contractors which the contractors fully understand the scope of the Works Contracts, and establish and execute in a timely manner
Advise in respect of variations in design, budget, schedules, works order and architect's instructions, and coordinate variation process and changes of scope
Chair Project Managers Site Meeting and attend general site meeting on other areas
Qualifications and Experiences required :
Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering, Architecture or related disciplines
Corporate membership of relevant professional institution(s)
At least 12 years of relevant experience, significant construction management experience is a must
Conversant with local government, and health and safety regulations for building projects
Familiar with project management software tools, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project and Building Information Management (BIM) will be an advantage
Creative, self-motivated with good management and effective communication skills
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
