A day in the life of a SME Underwriter
Promote service excellence by servicing allocated producers according to agreed KPIs including action underwriting referrals within delegated authority in accordance with profit centre guidelines.
Producer engagement conduct regular visitations to principle trading partners to monitor portfolio results, provide training on AIG’s electronic trading platform (Transact) and provide updates / training on new & upgraded products.
In collaboration with distribution and other profit centre underwriters, identify opportunities to establish trading relationship with new producers to promote AIG’s SME capability and product suite to internal and external stakeholders.
Undertake regular portfolio management to identify and develop action plans to address under-performing segments of the portfolio and under-performing producers & distribution channels.
Contribute to the overall strategic direction and development of the SME portfolio including systems and user interface design, product development and design, review and refinement of risk appetite, review of electronic trading platform (Transact) business rules and rating algorithm and improvements in operational efficiency.
Participate in research involving new and emerging exposures.
