The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses.

This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Position Overview

Client Outreach team is in charge of assisting Relationship Managers to work on KYC related matters throughout the lifecycle of a client (onboarding / maintenance / periodic review / event driven review / offboarding, etc).

Key portion of the work involves outreaching to clients to collect the necessary documents / information; and coordinating internally within Deutsche Bank throughout the lifecycle events.

Primary Responsibilities :

Individual Role

  • Support the Relationship Managers to work on KYC related matters. Take ownership of assigned KYC cases and actively follow through to completion.
  • Key activities include : Work with various internal / external stakeholders on various lifecycle events (e.g. client onboarding (NCA) / KYC PR / EDR / offboarding etc).

    Outreaching to clients to collect required documents / information Escalation to management on issues and actively follow up for resolution Provide regular updates to stakeholders on case status and progress

  • Attend regular training and keep abreast of latest KYC policy requirements and changes
  • Identifies problem areas and risks associated with processes and make recommendations to improve quality of KYC files and process in general.
  • Ensures timely resolution of any profile quality issues noted through the Sampling and Testing process or by audit
  • Establishes and maintains close partnership with KYC Officers, ACOs and other KYC linked functions regionally and globally
  • Team Management Role

  • The team leader, in addition to the activities above, will also have functional and disciplinary management of the KYC Outreach team for GTB’s GTB business lines based in APAC.
  • Oversees and ensures consistent training and knowledge transfer to new staff members.
  • Ensures team’s timely completion of the profiles and prioritizes team members’ workload to meet KYC objectives
  • Serves as the KYC champion and subject matter expert within business.
  • Serves as first level of escalation for cases with issues
  • Liaise with regional KYC team / Project Mercury to update KYC progress and obtain downloads on latest development in KYC area.
  • Ensures that KOP requirements are met within the teams, works with KOP owner to enhance policies
  • Experience required : Experience-


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a client servicing role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in KYC is a plus.
  • Supervisory / Team management experience is a must.
  • Good understanding of HKMA / MAS / SFC requirements.
