The appointees will report to R&D Directors and be responsible for incubating and developing novel materials, processes, and technologies for energy applications.
His / her core duties include :
Develop core technologies related to energy efficiency for the long term growth;
Responsible for project incubations, project implementation, and / or project reports / presentations;
Collect and analyze experimental data and provide technical solutions;
Responsible for commercializing developed technologies to actual products;
Build clients' accounts and expand collaboration network;
Responsible for tasks assigned by Director of R&D; and
Any other duties as required.
PhD in one of the following disciplines : Metal or ceramic related background : Relevant R&D experience on nanoporous metal or ceramic, shape memory alloys, metal / ceramic nanoparticles and nanowire syntheses, catalyst syntheses, metal / ceramic coating and surface treatment;
Polymer chemistry and engineering : Relevant R&D experience on protein and biopolymer chemistry, photopolymer synthesis and formulation development, polymer composites, and polymer processing technologies like compounding, vulcanization, extrusion and injection molding;
Textile chemistry and engineering : Relevant R&D experience on yarn and fabric modification and treatment, dyeing, woven and / or melt-spinning process, and other relevant technologies.
Creative & critical thinking and good troubleshooting skills;
Ability to initiate and work independently, yet a good team member to collaborate with other researchers;
Self-motivated and must have a sense of ownership for his / her work;
Good interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills; and
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
