    We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Finance Manager, Corporate Real Estate .

    Principal responsibilities

  • Partner with Head of Corporate Real Estate Asia Pacific and Country Corporate Real Estate Heads to ensure Senior Leaders across Business and Corporate Real Estate understand their real estate cost drivers and can make sound financial decisions to drive efficient cost management strategies.
  • Be responsible for the financial support and analysis to enable effective financial business partnering to the Corporate Real Estate teams across Asia Pacific.
  • Asia Pacific is the largest region globally with a Corporate Real Estate cost base and significant complexity given the number of countries and legal entities, number of own properties driving recharges based on market rent, the implementation of Service Company in this region and financial impact of asset transfers, and the implementation of new global lease accounting standards.
  • Report to the global Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Real Estate as well as other senior stakeholders in Finance for Asia Pacific, to provide timely and accurate information to support senior stakeholders to make effective decisions on key points as well as resolving queries within their sub Function.
  • Manage the annual plans and forecasting throughout the year for all entities within the region.
  • Due to the high degree of change expected both within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology and HSBC Operations, Services and Technology Finance, the jobholder will be required to be comfortable with ambiguity and be adaptable to the evolving environment in order to support the HSBC Operations, Services and Technology Finance change programmes enabling the realisation of programme objectives, including working closely with the offshore team to reengineer processes.
  • Partner with the other areas of Finance to ensure accounting or financial policies and regulations are implemented effectively within the respective business areas.
  • Requirements

  • Experience in operating at a senior level within a complex international environment.
  • A professional Finance qualification is essential, for example CIMA, ACA, ACCA.
  • Subject matter expertise in Corporate Real Estate Finance is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of excellent stakeholder management, working effectively across teams and problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Proactive escalation of issues whilst maintaining solution focused and flexible approach to accommodate the changing business or function needs.
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal or external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly defined problems.
  • Strong communication skills, applicable through multiple channels, such as written, spoken, workshops, presentations.
