    Position Purpose

    The Transversal Operational Permanent Control (OPC) reports directly to the head of Organization & Governance and functionally to the Head of Regional OPC.

    S / he is responsible for the first level of defence in Transversal activities under the HK COO scope. In addition, s / he is responsible to ensure the HK COO is aware of the risks under his perimeter.

    In coordination with Business lines / Functions and Regional OPCs, the Transversal OPC :

  • Ensures the compliance with applicable standards of the Permanent Control framework and Operational Risk set-up in HK
  • Contributes on a Branch level risks observed in CIB Métier / Function OPC domain
  • Alerts management, relevant Risk ORC and Métiers and Functions OPC’s about any significant event, incident or local regulations having impact on operational risk and permanent control


    Direct Responsibilities

  • Conducting Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) on Transversal departments under COO scope
  • Driving the deep-dive analysis of the effectiveness of operational risk controls
  • Supporting the Head of O&G and HK COO on Risk and Controls (reviewing incidents, validation of Control Plan, monitoring of recommendations, escalations etc.)
  • Coordinating and consolidating regulatory enquiries / surveys on Operational Risk and Internal Control
  • Review and assess major scenario PI’s (Potential Incident) defined by head office
  • Monitoring procedures on transversal scope under HK COO
  • Performing Transversal Control of Controls (CoC) on Branch perimeter
  • Assist in preparing presentation slides for Territory Internal Control Committees, Permanent Control Management Committees etc.
  • Contributing Responsibilities

  • Consolidation of a Branch risk profile for HK
  • Contribute to deep-dive analysis of operation risk incidents
  • Contribute to governance and awareness of risk related areas (Outsourcing, Third-Party Risk Management, Suppliers Risk, Business Continuity etc..)
  • Contribute to steering committees
  • Procedure co-ordination and Management
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines (procedures, instruction notes, safe desk, SLAs)
  • Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • University Graduate with a major in Business or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in the Banking and Financial industry and / or regulatory sector
  • Strong Organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset
  • Good Inter-personal & communication skills, with teamwork spirit, independent & self-motivated Strong skills in MS-Office suite;
  • Excel, Powerpoint, Visio etc.
