Job Description & Summary

A career within PwC’s Delivering Deal Value is the opportunity for you to work with clients to maximize their value created through M&A, by helping solve the companies’ most complex and important transformational challenges.

We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, from its inception through to value realization. We conduct pre-deal due diligence and deal planning, execute large-scale enterprise-wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations across the full range of business functions.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct strategic IT reviews and develop high-level IT strategy in relation to proposed M&A or divestments. This may include : Assess the risks or opportunities related to the IT systems of a Target (applications, infrastructure, IT organisation, IT costs, IT projects)Identify and quantify operational synergy opportunitiesUnderstand the dependencies of a target on the parent company Define the Day-1 and target operating model and assess support (i.
  • e. TSA) required from the parent during transition periodAssess impacts on recurring cost structure and one-off costs to make the business standaloneAddress critical issues to mitigate prior to deal closing or post-closingIdentify and implement critical initiatives to efficiently take control of the target’s IT Identify deal issues and provide suggestions for solutions

  • Support with the integration (notably in IT) of two organisations and the various restructuring programmes, including development / refresh of IT strategy and roadmap, as well as ensure synergies and other performance improvements are realised
  • Use big data and AI analytics to carry out detailed analysis of target data, enabling the identification of key issues and opportunities
  • Interact with buyer and target management, developing an understanding of the business supporting the conclusions of your analysis
  • Identify service opportunities and work with relevant functional specialists (across different Business Units / Lines of Services) to cross-sell these opportunities to clients
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably with specialization in Information Technology or Data Analytics
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in system integration company, corporate IT departments or IT consulting firms and have significant IT projects, IT strategy or ERP systems implementation experience
  • Familiar with business and finance processes for major companies
  • A proven ability to translate client objectives into deliverable design and develop deliverables that address complex situations
  • Experience in pre- and post-acquisition diligence projects will be a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience in evaluation, design and deployment of corporate performance metrics and reporting in at least 2 systems (e.
  • g. UFIDA, Kingdee, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion and Cognos) preferred

  • Excellent business sense and commercially aware, ideally with some level of financial accounting awareness
  • Excellent analytical skills are a key requirement
