We are recruiting for a Senior Marketing Executive based in Hong Kong, who will play a pivotal role in securing delegate attendance through a number of marketing channels for our broad portfolio of APAC events.
How you will contribute :
Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns for multiple events based on market research utilising a range of channels including but not limited to web;
email; print campaigns; telemarketing; social media; stakeholder marketing
Manage numerous projects and budgets simultaneously at different stages in their lifecycle
Create and maintain project budgets and marketing communication timelines
Monitor, track, and provide analysis to help measure the effectiveness of campaigns
Update regular reports detailing delegate revenue and effectiveness of marketing activities
Manage marketing partner relationships with external media publications, and industry and professional associations, including identification, outreach, barter negotiations, onboarding, and ongoing communications
Coordinate front-end, creative production and back-end support for event marketing campaigns
Act as a liaison for events marketing across other areas of the events business, including sponsorship, programming and operations, graphic design, as well as throughout the larger Economist Group
Understand and anticipate internal and external customer needs with the ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently
Perform competitive analysis and analyse points of differentiation across events
Execute effective PR strategies for events, working with external PR agencies and sponsors to help generate wider coverage
Develop and implement a social media plan appropriate to the target market, promoting through LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as relevant blogs, forums and online communities
Develop content for all marketing materials and distributions, including emails, banner ads, print ads, digital ads, press releases and social media posts
Work with external clients to ensure contractual obligations are executed from a marketing standpoint.
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The ideal skills for this role are :
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognised marketing qualification
Established, relevant marketing experience (e.g. direct and / or events marketing)
A strong understanding of customer acquisition, online marketing and new media channels
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in Salesforce, Eloqua, Hootsuite and Omniture or Google Analytics preferred
Well-developed analytical skills demonstrating the ability to continually evolve marketing tactics in response to engagement and ROI
An interest in current affairs as well as learning and exploring new marketing methods, thinking creatively about new ways to reach audiences
Excellent written English and proof-reading skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to support the global, collaborative, virtually connected team
Superior time and project management skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, prioritising to meet multiple tight deadlines.
