Department overview
APAC Sector Coverage team, equipped with specialised sector knowledge and multiproduct platform, provides our clients’ with a diverse yet holistic support for their financial and banking needs.
The Business Management team within Sector Coverage, provides a key supporting role to enable delivery on team’s performance targets and strategic initiatives.
Position overview
We have a Business Manager opening, covering the APAC Sector Coverage organization within WB APAC. This is a non-client facing role, with a diverse portfolio of responsibilities.
Highly cross-functional with exposure to senior executives across APAC, this role will suit someone looking to work in back office but wants the dynamics of front office, and someone with strong analytical skills but wants to experience a broader role beyond numbers and spreadsheets to support also operations and projects.
Duties and responsibilities
Support strategic and business planning process, as well as quarterly forecasting.
Understand Client profitability reports, management reports, and other pertinent financial reports and be able to translate and assess data and transform them into management presentations.
Assist in the implementation of financial, operational and management controls analysis and help ensure consistent delivery of the teams’ performance targets.
Assist in development and implementation of projects, process reengineering and change organization related to corporate strategies and organizational changes.
Work, communicate, liaise and collaborate with Senior Management, a variety of teams and cross functional departments across Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas.
Represent Sectors Coverage in various senior management committee / project meetings.
Ascertain and familiarize internal information flows and utilization of internal systems.
Support internal communications and client events / offsites.
Handle ad hoc requests from senior management.
Skill requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative
Detail-oriented, investigative personality and pro-active
Ability to work with Senior Management and diverse teams
High level of understanding and competency in Excel and Powerpoint
Team Player
Time and stress resilient
Strong influencing skills
Excellent communication skills and good business writing skills
Prior experience in business management or sales operations role preferred
