The Regional Sales Director HK & North Asia is responsible for generating profitable sales revenues from Bloomberg Media' portfolio of platforms from agencies and clients in the specified region.

The region covers the key markets of Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Taiwan & Korea. Based in the Bloomberg Hong Kong Office, the RSD generates new business, develops major accounts and expands existing business by increasing share and providing the senior level engagement in strengthening long term partnership clients especially in HK & Korea.

This sales leader develops strategic alliances with clients, agencies and partners to grow the revenues from major accounts and establish Bloomberg as a strategic partner for advertisers and agencies across our tv & digital platforms as well developing new clients and revenue for our extended suite of products namely Print, OTT, Events.

As well as delivering on a personal sales target, the Regional Sales Director will have a team management responsibility.

In addition, the senior level engagement and sales revenue target setting for the third party reps located in Philippines, Taiwan & Korea will be the responsibility of the RSM.

We'll trust you to :

  • Deliver the sales revenue target for the HK office that includes business booked from the various markets defined that fall into this region
  • Proactively identify and pursue revenue generating opportunities with both new and existing clients and agencies
  • Use an in-depth knowledge of the markets to contribute to the strategic sales plan
  • Drive implementation of the plan with the sales team
  • Lead and motivate the sales team, setting clear performance expectations and developing capability in line with the current and future requirements of the business
  • Develop strong relationships with agency / client top management and through all levels in these organisations to maximise revenue opportunities and position the Bloomberg Media as advertising partner of choice
  • Provide timely and accurate reports and forecasts to the Head of Media Sales on current revenue and the sales pipeline
  • Establish and maintain a network of key business contacts within client and agency businesses in the designated markets

    You need to have :

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven recent / relevant advertising sales experience
  • Prior management experience with a strong ability to lead a team
  • Significant and strong client relationships at all levels
  • An ability to prospect and develop new business
  • A strong understanding of the media advertising landscape across North Asia excluding China & Japan
  • Self-motivation and an ability to lead a proactive team
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • A capability of multitasking and working in a fast paced environment
  • A passion for media, advertising and business
