POSITION SUMMARY :
The Senior Design Manager for Calvin Klein Performance leads the design team in the creation of Women’s apparel in all product categories for Asia, Europe and North America
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB :
Lead design efforts for CK Performance Women and manage the design team in all design activities such as sketching, tech pack preparation, fittings etc.
Prepare and present concepts, colors, design direction at sketch review and other meetings with internal and external teams
Design capsules or special programs
Partner with Design Ops Manager for seasonal calendar and activities based on deadlines and deliverables
Participate and partner with sourcing and development counterparts in ensuring product creation meets design, quality and price expectations
Research competitors and trends within apparel, lifestyle and other relevant industries
Supervise 2 direct reports
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS :
Internal : Design / Merchandising / GSC
External : Factories / Material Suppliers
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Indirect : No
CREATIVITY : Must possess high degree of awareness of fashion trends, lifestyles, competitors and media. Can work within the creative process effectively to bring concepts and ideas to realization.
TEAMWORK : Build good working relationships; collaborate to meet deadlines and deliverables. Able to communicate effectively across the team and organization.
ORGANIZING : Work according to defined schedules and deadlines. Can take direction well and able to work independently with high accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
10 - 15 years' experience as a senior designer or in a lead design position
8 years' experience managing others with direct reports
Experience in sport performance apparel products an advantage
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Ability to translate concepts and inspiration to commercial design solutions
Ability to partner with different functions to build efficient and effective work streams
Leadership skills in managing direct reports. Ability to share expertise and mentor others including design, fitting, seasonal planning, process and workload / deadline management
Good presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Understand technical design and development process to achieve commercialization of ideas and concepts
Design software skills a must
Fluency in English a must
