  • Mercer Marsh Benefits is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Project Manager with 7 years of demonstrated experience to be part of the Global Health Delivery team.

    The mission of the team is to provide an exceptional customer experience with a focus on simplifying processes, leveraging best practices and a strong engagement model for both colleagues and the businesses.

    This position supervises professional level employees across multiple levels in the implementation group and reports into the Head of Solution Delivery.


    We will count on you to :

  • Manage a technical team.
  • Work independently on projects, consistently applies critical thinking, manage activities against project scope and budget and mentor others on one or more implementation technical functions.
  • Responsibilities include adherence to and continual improvement of best practices and documentation standards, keeping management apprised of progress and risks, partnering and communicating effectively with other project team members and executing the function efficiently, accurately and timely on each client project.
  • Become a champion of MMB best practice for project management framework.
  • Become subject matter expert on MMB’s technology solution.
  • Project-manage solution implementation (new implementations / migrations / renewal activities / change requests).
  • Adhere to the implementation methodology for the client delivery i.e. Initiation; Requirements; Documentation; Design & Configuration;
  • Testing & UAT; Go Live; Project closure : Articulate and implement MMB’s portal services and solution to clients effectively.

    Connect with clients to collect requirements, acquire input, and communicate MMB’s plans and deliverables.Document various client requirements and acquire client signoff before system configuration.

    Act as the interface between the system configuration team and other parties (clients and other MMB units).Undertake test planning and execution of the system prior to the client user acceptance testing.

  • Manage project team workload, allocation, performance and reviews.
  • Supervise staff during the implementation process to ensure complete, accurate and on time delivery.
  • Interface with other teams in MMB (e.g. client management teams, system configuration team and service center) for optimal service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Maintain effective change control to ensure successful on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Manage customer expectations, resolve project conflicts, and deliver the assigned project on time.
  • Act as the escalation point for issues related to solution delivery.
  • Provide status reporting and issue escalation to Solution Delivery Lead.
  • What you need to have :

  • Degree in information technology or relevant field.
  • 7 years and above of experience in operations and technology in the insurance / financial services industries.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, management skills required to lead teams in achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to manage projects of varying complexity successfully.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate system requirements documentation.
  • Quantitative, fact-based approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and commercial mind-set.
  • Effective time management, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to operate / navigate in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Proven stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrate strong MS Project skills and experience and advanced MS Office skills.
  • What makes you stand-out :

  • Previous experience of Employee Benefits, brokerage or managing the delivery of HR information system is an advantage.
  • Darwin HR Benefit System knowledge and Flexible Benefits implementation experience is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma and / or Project Management certification preferred.
