Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategic Actuarial Project, responsible for supporting management on cross base actuarial exercises and projects as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support management on cross bases actuarial exercise. Take on actuarial projects as required
Deliver project plan, governance structure, track progress, and report to key stakeholder in regular basis
Collaborate with various work-stream leaders, e.g. Capital Management, Finance, IT, Investment, Risk to ensure smooth delivery of project initiatives
Interact with key stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectation
Deliver project / emerging actuarial exercise
Derive insights and foresights across the actuarial value chain
Support management to coordinate and review result on cross bases actuarial exercise e.g. strategic planning / budget, etc.
Prepare management deck to facilitate management in-depth understanding on key financial metric
Digitalization of actuarial team
Take the advantage of technology development to streamline and simplify workflows and processes to enhance efficiency
Coach, develop and empower team member to facilitate growth
University / College graduate plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
Attained / Nearly attain Fellowship in Actuarial professional examination
Advanced knowledge in MS Office
Solid experience and knowledge in insurance product and corporate actuarial work. Experience and knowledge in IFRS / USGAAP, embedded value, HKICO basis, economic capital is an asset
Good leadership, people, project management and communication skill. Able to communicate complex actuarial matter to non-
actuarial stakeholder is an asset.
Experience in coordinating cross function / team project is an asset
Good written and verbal English skill. Good written and verbal Chinese skill is an advantage
Candidate with higher qualification and experience may be considered as Actuarial Manager, Strategic Actuarial Project
