Main Responsibilities :
Support the Head of Operational Risk APAC with the implementation of the OR framework in the region.
Provide independent assessment and monitoring of the firm's operational risk exposures, including :
Incident management and loss data collection
Production and management of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
Support the implementation of the firm's risk mapping program and operational risk self-assessment process
Provide review and input into the new product and non-standard transactions approval process
Contribution to the Operational Risk Committees, including preparation and presentation of certain topics
Undertake ad hoc deep-dive reviews, risk assessments or other internal investigations following internal incidents, near misses and external events
Delivery of training and assistance to the regional operational risk correspondents on operational risk methodologies, procedures, tools and follow up of incidents
Coordination with the Global Operational Risk teams regarding the banks OR exposures, methodologies and standards
Participate to the global initiatives to improve the OR framework, tools and processes
Liaison with other functions via meetings, working groups and Committees, particularly with regards to non-financial risks (such as Compliance, Cyber, Technology and Conduct Risk)
Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience
Required Skills :
University degree and between 2 - 5 years of working experience in the financial industry (e.g. Financial Control, Internal Audit, Risk Management)
Good understanding and experience of risk management and operational risk practices
Business knowledge : practical understanding of Corporate and Commercial Banking products as well as Capital Markets : Equity and Fixed Income products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as the role involves a high amount of interaction with a diverse group of stakeholders in business units and support functions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
Proficient with the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Knowledge in other non-financial risks is desirable but not essential, including Cyber Risk, Technology Risk, Non-Compliance and Conduct Risk
Ability to facilitate meetings and discussions
