The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, category management activities and cost management initiatives across AIA head office and business units in over 19 countries in Asia Pacific.
This is an exciting opportunities at corporate headquarter level to lead the development of Sourcing strategies and high value and high impact business deals.
1. Sourcing Strategy
Develop and implement long-term and annual category plan.
Ensure category plan aligns and support business functions, with effective stakeholder management.
Provide inputs for assessment and management of potential risk associated with different sourcing strategies.
2. Sourcing Activities Execution
Responsible for sourcing activity execution including but not limited to internal requirement analysis, supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development, competitive bidding process, negotiation and contract review.
Deliver annual savings target
Provide sourcing direction and guidance to stakeholders and in-country procurement teams for the responsible categories / project / request.
Manage and collaborate with people at all levels, including senior management of business units and external vendors.
3. Supplier Management
Define and manage key supplier relationships to support business functions to ensure delivery as well as to drive breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality
Support key supplier management strategy with leading business owners.
4. Knowledge Management and coaching
Provide specialist advice, guidance and service on leading practice procurement to all functions within AIA
5. Sourcing System Implementation
Sourcing system implementation, process and data champion.
Lead supplier and catalogue enablement
University graduate in Business / Laws / Supply Chain Management / Computer Science or other relevant degrees to specific categories.
Relevant advanced degree or professional certification such as CIPS / CPSM would be of advantage.
Over 10 years of experience in managing end-to-end sourcing and high spend strategic negotiations of relevant procurement categories, at strategic level in international financial institutes.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to present and influence with top level internal and external parties.
Strong cost and risk management
Self-motivated team player, who has energy and drive, also able to motivate and get the best out of a multi-functional team and matrix organization.
Capable of operating in a dynamic environment and able to balance short-term business needs with the long-term requirements of our business.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Asian language skills would be an advantage.
