Protect our data Design for security and resilience : Our data and technologies must be appropriately resilient and protected, independent of interface or hosting location and aligned to risk appetite.
Maximise benefits to the Enterprise through consistency and reuse : Architectural decisions must consider wider organisational applicability and re-use.
Building or reusing core / global platforms and tools where applicable.
Connect to our people Design with data first : Our processes and solutions should be insight driven, based on trusted data, and create new valuable data.
With data adoption making our processes and journeys smarter and more efficient.
Unlock value for our customer Focus on the Customer : All architectural decisions (business and technology) should enable maximum customer values.
Digitise Front Office to Back Office, driving Straight Through Processing (STP) : Technology enabled business processes should be designed as fully digitised from inception through maintenance, with minimal need for manual intervention.
Utilise strategic partnerships : Whilst leveraging our Core Platforms we will also collaborate with our vendors to supplement our estate with specialist skills.
The Senior Manager is responsible for :
Leading and driving the data strategy programme / projects to support Business and Functional areas to transform the Bank into a truly data-driven organisation
Work closely with stakeholders of the Bank (project sponsor, IT, Business, Functions) to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new data related initiatives
Identify key requirements needed from cross-business / functional teams and external vendors, and be accountable for delivering against established goals / objectives aligning bank’s data strategy
Analysing business processes and requirements, proposing solutions and process changes in ensuring project deliverables meet the objective and bank’s data strategy
Coordinating with the Chief Data Officer community for the implementation of data project deliverables and sharing data related best practices
Partnership with Data and Architecture Office counterparts at the HSBC Group level, sharing best practices to enhancing effectiveness of driving our data strategy initiatives
Throughout the lifecycle of the programme / project, enforcing data principles and policies across stakeholders, data subject matter experts and general data users in directing activities towards the data driven culture
Background / qualifications in business process re-engineering
5-10 year experience in programme / project management and 2-3 year experience in data related programme / project and change management discipline
Have good understanding of data management principles and operational control framework
Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and the ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results
Awareness on data strategy trends within the banking industry : Data Science & Analytics, Data Literacy, Data Management best practices
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills : facilitate steering committee and good stakeholders management as the role will face across all different levels of management in the bank
Ability to interact and build relationship with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
University degree in related disciplines
High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers, thru data
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
