MAIN PURPOSE
As part of the Cartier Global Travel Retail team in the role - Business Analyst for the Global Travel Retail, you will participate in supporting the team for data analysis and strategic planning activities.
Key responsibilities include travel retail market analyses to inform business development strategy as well as the continuous improvement of our travel and sales tracking tools.
Using your relationship-building skills, you will connect with global markets on strategic projects and share data-driven insights that help to shape Cartier’s travel retail business.
The length of this assignment is 12 months and ideally starts in July 2022, the position is based in Hong Kong.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
TRAVEL RETAIL INDUSTRY INTELLIGENCE
Organize data sharing sessions on key tourism industry topics with a specific focus on Chinese tourism;
Utilize traffic monitoring tools and maintain the interactive traveller dashboards;
Analyse the strategies of Travel Retail operators in regard to target clientelling, expansion plans and evolutions in Retail concept :
Build and maintain a database to track airport concession and alert on potential changes of operators;
Collect information on new Travel Retail projects led in different channels (downtown, airport, cruise, or E-Commerce) to secure the best locations for Cartier in early project stages.
BUSINESS PLANNING & MONITORING
Maintain the global database for our existing Travel Retail network with existing boutiques as well as openings, renovations, and closures;
Prepare and share business forecasts and global quaterly reports summarizing key Travel Retail activity.
COMMERCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Monitor sales trends and results for each Boutique and POS, both in sell-in and sell-out, and consolidate and share monthly reports;
Consolidate and report definitive sales results and forecasts working closely with Operations, Commercial and Finance teams;
Ensure accurate upload of sales forecast & budget on a quarterly basis, at boutique and product category level.
EVENT PREPARATION
Support relevant preparation to ensure the event organization and commercial meetings. Examples of work include but not limited to commercial report preparation, event organization and coordination, etc.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Master’s degree in engineering, information systems, statistics, or business
Relevant internships in retail, travel retail, luxury, marketing & sales
Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations in a fast-paced environment
Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, working knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus.
