An experienced industry professional to shape the Information Management and BIM requirements and implement them for Built Environment or Transport infrastructure projects, depending upon focus sector, for major projects or a group of smaller projects.
With support from the project teams, provides leadership and ensure quality deliverables for all BIM aspects of the project.
Managing the project BIM Coordinator(s) and BIM / CAD technicians including input to Quality Assurance and Quality Control of models and drawings.
Lead BIM specific meetings and discussions, including kick-off, coordination and review. This will involve resolving design coordination issues with the design teams both internally and externally.
Provides technical support and guidance to major project teams with respect to BIM and CAD software (primary focus on Autodesk and Bentley tools however typically this will involve the latest versions of Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D & Navisworks).
Responsible for compilation of (or contribution to) the project BIM Execution Plan, including input to Quality Assurance and Quality Control of models and drawings and development of Technology Plans.
Configure and maintain the project Common Data Environment to enable the effective management of engineering design deliverables.
Responsible for planning project BIM deliverables and managing their effective delivery in accordance with the project plan and BIM Execution Plan.
Liaises with the client BIM related points of contact.
Assists bid teams to prepare bid documents with BIM requirements.
What You'll Need
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and solve problems when working under pressure.5 years+ experience in the engineering and construction industry.
Advanced understanding of BIM processes and ability to develop this on new projects.
Proven experience in managing the design coordination process.
A technical understanding of Civil & Structural and / or MEP discipline is preferred.
Accredited, or working towards, CIC BIM Manager status.
Awareness and interest in wider project issues such as Project Management and Information Management.
