About the Role
The Asia Pacific Region is of growing strategic importance to Gap Inc.

The importance of this region to Gap Inc's business model cannot be exaggerated.
In this role, you'll be defining the best path forward for our business growth in the region. Your objective will be to answer the question of how to strategically leverage Asia-Pacific more, to accelerate the pursuit of our Gap Inc.
Power Plan 2030, championing the enterprise's mission, values, strategies, and strategic interests across this geography.
The role is critical to defining future growth opportunities for Gap Inc. in largely untapped markets across Asia Pacific.
This growth may come from a variety of channels, for example business-to-business opportunities, partnerships or other investments, and ways to monetize our range of existing assets.
It may also include potential investments / acquisitions within the technology, innovation, ESG, or retail arenas which could help us to achieve our Power Plan 2030 and the overall diversification of our business.
Through rigorous analyses, creative thinking, a deep understanding of our existing business, and strong external market scanning capability, you will develop the strategies for our New Businesses in Asia Pacific.
You will be responsible for defining and evolving strategy, and identifying untapped markets and both organic and inorganic growth opportunities where we may have structural advantage.
You'll work with others to "size the prize" and prepare strategy documentation and business case analysis to the Vice Chairman to enable fast decision making, funneling opportunities into a set of key priorities for business development teams to go after.
You'll monitor progress as teams begin to hunt opportunities, and evolve & refine strategy based on collective insights and learning "from the field".
This role will also play a crucial role in ensuring connectivity and coordination with Asia based business operations and Chief Growth Office in the US, a force multiplier for the Growth office acting as a proxy for the CGO and coordinate efforts to drive strategic priorities.
