Job Description
We’re looking for an in-house copywriter who is a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills. As a member of the marketing team, our copywriter will write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with the sales and marketing teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging.
Thorough research and interviews will be required to understand supply chains, customers’ products / services, branding, and marketing goals.
The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.
Write clear, attractive copy with distinct voice for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online.
Liaise with content contributors, edit, and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to assess project needs and help with messaging
Research and understand the needs of supply chain and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings
Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
Assist on the publication of seasonal trend book
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications.
3-5 years’ experience in content marketing or copywriting.
Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
Experience with SEO
Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, HTML, etc.
Social media or content marketing experience a plus
