Position Description :
The AP Global Accounts Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reports to GlobalAccount management and is responsible for establishing the company’stechnology vision and engagements with customer executive level to Fortune 500customers.
The CTO is the AP team's top technology executive, playing anintegral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and futuregrowth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify opportunities and risks for the business.
Provide inputs for research and development (R&D).
Define and communicate company values and standards for acquiring ordeveloping systems, equipment, or software.
Customer Executive engagement.
Monitor technology and social trends that could impact the company.
Participate in management decisions about vertical business
Communicate the company's technology strategy to partners, management,investors and employees.
Maintain current information about technology standards and complianceregulations.
Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained acrossthe organization.
Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization’s investors,management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to thecompany’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.
Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and technical organization inaccordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budgetrequirement.
Promote achievement of the company’s business goals within a context ofcommunity collaboration by developing policies for sharing software code,technological innovation, business, processes, and other intellectual.
Contribute to open source software development, standardization oftechnologies, and evolution of best practices by collaborating with peersoutside the company, releasing code, presenting at conferences, and writingfor publication (online or offline).
Position Requirements :
Formal Education & Certification
University degree in the field of computer science, business administration,or another rigorous discipline.
An advanced degree or industrial certification is a plus.
Knowledge & Experience
15 20 years of IT experience in Retail industry, either as technologyprovider or end user. Regional & Global experience is an advantage.
Expertise in Retail store operations, Point of Sales, end user devicecompute to data center infrastructure. Knowledge on IoT, AI, Edge computing &Software Defined Data Center.
Deep technical knowledge of Retail solutions and ecosystem.
Customer Executive engagement & Network in the industry
Experience with startup companies is an advantage
Communities, Open Source, Industry panel / presentation recognition.
Proven leadership ability and ability to work in complex matrixorganization.
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
