Job Description

  • Forecasts product demand based on sales trends, and inventory levels
  • Plans, controls and evaluates inventory planning activities such as master scheduling, stocking, inventory planning / turnover, materials handling and forecasting
  • Schedules and coordinates the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand
  • The Job

  • To assist the line manager for ensuring that the stock appears in the right place at the right time and in the right quantities
  • To work closely with the Operations Team, Merchandise Team and vendors to accurately forecast trends and plan stock levels
  • To be responsible for forecast program to ensure the company can obtain sufficient stock from suppliers and to identify the potential vendor for forecast program
  • To analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly based on sales trends, and inventory levels.
  • To ensure adequate stock supply is available for store by collaborating joint forecast with suppliers, negotiating with vendors to minimize out of stock situations and working closely with category managers to minimize out of stock and overstock situations
  • To involve directly with major negotiations
  • To coach, train and develop the team and maintain steady succession
  • To prepare the performance figures, which includes maintaining the KPI for the team in terms of order fulfillment rate to stores and analyzing the performance details and identify improvement areas
  • The Person

  • Tertiary educated, preferably university graduates in Supply Chain / Logistic Management or relevant discipline.;
  • At least 3 years of experiences of supply chain or Inventory planning function. More than 1 year of experience at management level is preferred;
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and resolve problems by making logic decisions
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills. Ability to motivate staff to achieve preset goals.
  • Good negotiation skills to deliver excellent results / win-win solutions for all parties.
  • Good communication skills to express ideas across different levels of staff, within the team, across other departments and to external parties.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge in advanced merchandising system
